Family Business
Born in 1973
Southern Tire Mart was founded in 1973 by Ernest Duff in Columbia, Mississippi. As a prominent lawyer in his hometown, the business was intended as a side investment. However, as it quickly grew, so did the need for dedicated management. That’s why his two sons, Tommy and Jim joined the company business after finishing their respective college careers.
Today, as the company now has locations from coast to coast, Tommy and Jim Duff are still at the helm doing everything they can to make our team members and customers happy.

Even as we’ve grown, our home and heart are still based in Columbia, Mississippi. That means we still approach each interaction like we’re helping our neighbors, we still believe our reputation is on the line with every customer, and we’ll always go the extra mile to get back on the road and back home safely.
