Pretty good tires. I live in Maine and I have these on a Subaru Forester. They are not actually snow tires but have served me well so far in some pretty sloppy driving conditions. I’d probably buy them again for the price I originally bought them but the price leaped about $20 right after I bought them. Happy with my purchase though. Shipping was quick.

Overall a great tire. I was surprised at how much quieter these tires were over the Michelins that were on our car. In fairness though the Michelins were very worn down when we purchased the car. Haven’t had much of a chance to try them in the snow but the little we have had thus far I was happy. Very good in the rain as well. We have put about 10,000 miles on them so far I think and don’t have any complaints at all.

Preface – This is not a bad review of the product, I enjoy Yokohama brand tires as they’re a good quality tire. This is a critique of the delivery being the wrong size TWICE despite me noting the error.Delivery Review – I don’t often come to give bad reviews, I’m okay to forgive some errors. But today is not the case. I ordered two Yokohama tires, size 205/55R16 91H. Instead I got 205/65R15 92T. No big deal, someone must have got the 5 and 6 numbers crossed. I write in my return that the numbers are mixed up and reorder the tires. Today I get the SAME mistaken tires 205/65R15 92T. That ’15’ is NOT going to fit my wheel.To make matters worse, while the return is supposed to be fully covered, but I only get one slip to ship them back. Because of the nature of how each tire was shipped as ‘individual packages’, when I went to return them at UPS, the clerk says they need to be in one container or tied together so they’re covered by the slip return so I had to pay extra out of pocket to send back this mistake and now I’m poised to be doing this again.I thought I’d be getting something good and easy from here since I had no problem in the past but I guess I though wrong. I’ll return this mistake, but after that I’m going to Tirerack like I should have from the start to avoid this mess.

I installed these on a Honda Fit Sport. Very quite ride. We got 4 inches of snow the day after I put them on the car. I am the guy that plows the snow, so when I go into work, the roads aren’t plowed. These tires handled very well in the snow. When I ordered these, I couldn’t find a tread life warranty. It is 75,000 miles. I’m impressed! I’ve only had these tires on the car for 4 days now, so I cant rate longevity, but I do like them so far! …Ok, here is several months later. I’m in northern Illinois. So far this winter, we have received over 60″ of snow this season. Traction on these tires is amazing. Have not got stuck yet. Excellent ride on the interstate at 75 mph. Highly recommend these tires. Note – I used internal tire balancing beads in these tires, nice ride!

We replaced the 2012 CRV factory ContiContacts with these Yokohamas. The improvement was immediate! Much quieter and far more solid feeling on the road. Handling improved enormously. This is a 4WD vehicle.We upsized by one, the car calls for 225s and we put on 235 (dropping one aspect)There was a bit of work at the beginning to get one wheel balanced, but they eventually figured it out. It only vibrated at 75-78 mph.I’ve had Yokohamas on several cars, and they’ve always been solid. These are also doing great.

After 5 years on factory tires I needed a new set for my 2009 Honda Fit. Last winter I couldn’t even get out of my parking space when there was any amount of snow on the ground so I had to bite the bullet and buy a new set. Being that the Honda Fit has a very uncommon size of tire, I found that the cheapest thing to do was buy them online then take them somewhere to get mounted, rather than having a shop special order them for me. Once I got them installed, it was like night and day! They are very effective in the snow and rain (I live outside Chicago). Highly recommended.

– Very quiet and smooth tires.- They behave very predictably.- Getting these tires made me love my car again as the suspension feels soooo smooth, even if the car roll (leaning left or right when turning) is more noticeable than with the original tires, a welcome trade off.Excellent for dry braking, very good for dry cornering, good for wet breaking, not so good for wet cornering. I am in FL so no snow or ice.With a 740 AA UTQG they are supposed to last a long time. We will see about that.My car came with Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS, H rated tires from the factory, which made the car feel as if on rails, very stable. At their limit, they would loose a very good grip, without warning though. I was tired with the suspension the car feeling too stiff

Quiet on the highway, confident handling and super traction in heavy rain. I did a lot of research prior to purchase and it paid off – after 3 months of heavy use, I feel great about having chosen these tires.Update: one year later. Did I mention these tires are quiet – a year of hard driving and they’re still so quiet it’s actually spooky. We’ve driven on snow,, on ice, on murderous ice with cables, through torrents of rain pummeled by outrageous winds and, of course, traversed all kinds of dry road surfaces – complete perfection. They still corner like a dream and inspire confidence under all conditions. Simply the best tire I have ever owned and the best part is they show minimal wear after a year, no hardening, no oxidation. I highly recommend these tires for the 2008 Honda Odyssey.

We have purchased 6 of these tires now and we really like them. The one thing that Im iffy on is their consistency. Some days they feel great and some days they feel flat. Both days they have equal tire pressure but its not enough to say I wouldnt purchase again. Just the way these tires are.

I bought these for my 2009 Honda Fit Sport..185x55x16..just installed today, balanced all 4 wheels and 4 wheel laser alignment. I knew the moment I hit the highway that I had a real Winner in this set of tires!! They are quiter ,grip the highway better and I believe the gas mileage is going to be 10-15% better.. This is my third set of tires on this vehicle with 74,000 miles..original set were Dunlap..lasted 25,000 miles..2nd set were Hankoop ventura..lasted 49,000 miles..I will say I am not right on top of the my game when it comes to inflation and rotation, but I will make a chart now to keep better track of my investment..I will update at 10,000 miles..

Good compromise between AT and highway. Handle much better in rain and snow than OEM Hankooks that came with our car…and the tires were actually new. They were manufactured three months before delivery. This something I am learning is not as common as one would expect

I’ve put about 7000 miles on these tires and they’ve performed great! Drove them all the way through Texas while it rained the whole time! No traction problems at all. They never pulled to the side when hitting puddles of standing water! They have wore very evenly. No real road noise to complain about! Very smooth riding and quite!

Stay away from these. Purchase in April 2018. It’s October 2019 and these have less than 15000 miles on them and less than 1/8 tread left. I have had to align my truck 3 times and I rotate them every 5000 miles. They just melt away. Never again.

Have these on my 2010 Honda Insight and do not experience any problems with handling or vibrations at any speed. Great in the rain too. Now with about 40,000 miles (consistent balancing and rotation every 8000 miles) wear is very satisfactory. I am still very happy with the purchase.

The AVID ASCEND is a truly reliable tire. Not like the Geolanders that get bald after 40k. I put these on the Lexus NX and the ride just got even better. They do make less noise and the tread doesn’t wear off so quick. I’m pleasantly surprised. Would recommend!!

At first I was a little disappointed with the snow, ice and rain traction. After two weeks they got much better gripping in the above weather. Still not as good as the General Altimax they replaced, but pretty close. What I do like better than the General is the sidewalls are stiffer, cornering is better and they’re not as mushy. I got two sidewall blowouts with General because I think the sidewall is thin. Not as worried about the same with these. Now let’s see if I can get 60k out of them like General… Good buy and the tires weren’t old or anything according to the date code. With Prime the free shipping was better than Tire Rack. Also, the tread is deeper than many tires. 11/32 vs. 9/32.

My previous tire were four Michelin Defenders. Compared to the Yokohama they were worse in every category. These Avid Ascend were noticeably quieter and had better handling. I noticed the car turned much more effortlessly on these than the Defenders and were smoother driving over rough pavement. The defenders also didn’t even last 40k miles and felt sluggish overall.I can’t comment about wet and snow because I live in Southern California, but if you are looking for dry climate tires, these are solid and perform well for average to spirited driving.I was considering Continental and Goodyear too, but these win out due to price. After install these were much more inexpensive, made in the USA, and the fact they had good record of durability according to reviews made them a easy choice.

I am so thankful that these tires were available online because I could not afford to go to Discount Tire. I get better gas mileage with these tires. I have been able to test them out on a recent road trip and they are just what I needed. Not too much road noise, and excellent tracking on the roads during wet, rainy, slick, cold conditions. I usually purchase Michelin’s but I will stick with Yokohama’s going forward. I also wanted to comment on the Vendor, the customer service was superb and they were really great to work with.

I bought these because of the perfect ratings for traction, wear and braking. The tire wear was rated over 700 and was rated as quiet handling (that’s almost unheard of) so, i bought these first dor my 2011 camry and then my 2012 rav4 4wd 4 cylinder . I was surprised because it is a small suv, and has 4wd, and I had these tires before on my 2011 camry and it made a night and day difference. The road noise was cut in half and the winter gripping was doubled. However, then due start to get sloppy in 6 inches or more of snow from a dead stop. However, camrys are light in weight to begin with and not 4wd. I used a tread guage at 9000 miles and it wasn’t even a difference of a paperclip thickness. It was like a piece of paper. I was impressed. Anyway, shipping was fast, tires were never used, and nicely packages. I have used the rav once 9n the snow with these tires. There was 10 inches and the 4wd never kicked in. ( rav4 is front wheel drive. You hit a button for 4wd. However, if it senses a slip in a tire it will automatically engage 4wd). It never kicked it in. I have 6000 miles on these with rave and no tread wear showing.

I purchased these tires for my last Honda Odyssey. I loved them, so I put them on my latest Honda Odyssey. Yes, they are a little more expensive than some of the other tires, but what I love about them is how quite they are! I was getting a ton of road noise with the Michelins I was running so I switched to these and they are fantastic!

So I put this particular tire; as a rear tire for my 2016 Ultra Limited. The first day anything over 80mph, caused a massive wobble. It’s calmed down a bunch now though; 2 months later.

I am so thankful that these tires were available online because I could not afford to go to Discount Tire. I get better gas mileage with these tires. I have been able to test them out on a recent road trip and they are just what I needed. Not too much road noise, and excellent tracking on the roads during wet, rainy, slick, cold conditions. I usually purchase Michelin’s but I will stick with Yokohama’s going forward. I also wanted to comment on the Vendor, the customer service was superb and they were really great to work with.

I put it on my Harley Davidson Ultra Limited….. Expect to get twice the mileage at half the cost .Performs perfectly !!!

I was looking for all weather tire (all terrain) rated for snow so i don’t have to change it in the winter when the snow hits.The dilemma is to find it on 275/55R20 113H. But finally, I found this tire that also happen to be the recommended one for my Navigator by the dealer.

Great tire rides well and handles well on wet and slippery roads . Wearing even with not a lot of road noise . But next time I will be getting a little more aggressive tread for better traction in snow . Over all I am happy with the tire .

Weve had these on for 3 months… they’re quiet and have a smooth ride on a Mazda cx-5. Worth the money.
