For decades I have been an exclusively Michelin buyer & driver. Whenever I bought others I hated them, except for
Continental ExtremeContact DWS All-Season Tire-255/45R18 103Y
(rear) tires, which were great, but had to be replaced after only 45,000 miles. When I began to look into buying tires for an AWD Cadillac STS, I was very surprised by the research I did and the reviews that I read. So, I took a chance, based on others recommendations. These tires have been excellent on wet and dry ground. They turn great! At low or high speeds, it is such a pleasure to make turns. They make the car feel as if it was made for making turns! It is a great feeling! If I could fault them in any way, it would be that they are a bit noisy on badly paved roads–not too bad though! They are fun to drive on and handle well in almost every way. They hardly ever hydroplane–it takes torrential downpour to happen, or an unavoidable incredibly large puddle to appear, before this occurs. I’ll have to wait and see how they measure up in snow and the traction they have on ice. I am looking forward to the snow, but not too soon!
