Best in class, and inexpensive when compared

Best studdable winter tires I’ve owned. This is the 5th set across 5 vehicles since the Winterforce line came out. Geo Prizm, Chrvy Tracker, 2 Rangers and now a Silverado. An 11 and 25% grade on a dirt road getting in and out of our development makes studs or 4wd mandatory with any frozen precip. Fine if you’re the first vehicle, forget it if you’re the second. Studs or chains or 4wd will get you home, but all season or ‘winter’ tires…forget it.These continuously perform well above what I’d expect for the price. Road noise with studs is there, seriously…you’ve got pieces of carbide and steel hitting the road…you’re gonna have noise.I stud them myself, using #11 studs and have yet to find a pin socket that won’t accept the stud. Put them on in November, take them off in March, 20yrs in a row now. I’m confident in them to the point of buying a used set of rims dedicated to these tires. The last set on the Ranger had 8 seasons on them and had minimal tread wear to the point of still passing inspection. There are other brands out there, some really cheap, some a lot more expensive. These fit, they work, they last. What else do you want?

    Worth the purchase!

Definitely help limit sliding. Living in Alaska, these tires have helped keep my wife and I safe. The noise is not bad at all either, definitely louder than my all season tires but it’s not that bad. Can’t beat the price either. I’d definitely buy them again.
